Storage Agreement
1. Overview
Parada Storage lets a Renter rent storage space from a Host to keep the Renter's own goods for a defined period. This Agreement is a lease of storage space, not a service of safekeeping or warehousing. Parada operates the platform as an online marketplace under Republic Act No. 11967 (the Internet Transactions Act of 2023) and is not a party to the lease.
2. Parties
- The Host — the verified Parada user who owns or lawfully controls the storage space, has listed it, and has accepted the booking (the lessor).
- The Renter — the verified Parada user who books the storage space and pays the fees (the lessee), and who owns or is entitled to store the goods placed there.
Parada Technologies, Inc. (SEC Registration No. 2026060256331-09, 24 Sheridan Towers North, Buayang Bato, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, Philippines 1550) operates the platform and is not a party to this Agreement. See Section 17.
3. Nature of the Arrangement
The Host leases space to the Renter under the Civil Code provisions on lease. The Host is not a depositary, warehouseman, or bailee of the Renter's goods within the meaning of Articles 1962 to 1998 of the Civil Code and does not issue any warehouse receipt under Act No. 2137 (the Warehouse Receipts Law). The Renter retains ownership, custody, and risk of the stored goods, except for loss or damage directly caused by the Host's own proven negligence or willful misconduct. The Host does not inspect, inventory, guarantee, or take possession of the goods, and does not provide climate control, security guarding, or insurance unless expressly stated in the Listing.
4. Booking & Term
A booking is formed when the Renter submits a request, the Host approves it, and the Renter completes payment through Parada. Parada Storage is billed monthly: the term is measured in whole months from the start date, and the storage fee is the Host's monthly rate multiplied by the number of months booked. The Renter shall remove all goods and vacate the space on or before the end of the term unless the booking is renewed or extended through the platform.
5. Fees and Payment
The Renter's total, itemized at checkout, comprises:

The amounts shown at checkout govern that booking. All payments are made through Parada's accredited payment processor; off-platform payments are not recognized and are made at the Renter's risk. Parada remits the Host's share through its payout process, subject to any tax withholding required by law.
6. Prohibited & Restricted Items
The Renter shall not store, and warrants that the goods do not include, any of the following:
- illegal drugs, contraband, stolen property, or anything whose possession violates the law;
- firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, or weapons;
- flammable, combustible, toxic, corrosive, radioactive, or otherwise hazardous materials (including fuel, gas cylinders, and industrial chemicals);
- perishable food, live plants, or anything that can rot, mold, or attract pests or vermin;
- live animals or any living thing;
- cash, coins, negotiable instruments, securities, jewelry, precious metals or stones, or other high-value valuables beyond any declared-value cap in Section 10;
- human or animal remains;
- items that infringe intellectual property or violate customs, excise, or import law; and
- any item requiring specialized or regulated storage that the space does not lawfully provide.
7. Renter Obligations
- Store only lawful goods that the Renter owns or is entitled to store, and only within the booked space.
- Pack and protect the goods appropriately; the Renter bears the risk of ordinary deterioration, pests, humidity, and the like, absent the Host's proven negligence.
- Comply with the Host's access rules and the property's rules, and not create nuisance, odor, or hazard.
- Keep contact details current and respond to the Host's and Parada's notices.
- Remove all goods by the end of the term and leave the space clean.
8. Host Obligations & Warranties
The Host represents, warrants, and undertakes that:
- the Host owns or lawfully controls the space and has the right and any necessary permission (including of the property or building) to offer it for storage;
- the space is accurately described in the Listing (size, condition, access, and any stated protections such as being dry, lockable, or secure);
- the Host will not access, use, move, or dispose of the Renter's goods except as permitted by this Agreement (Section 13) or by law; and
- the Host will give the Renter the agreed access and reasonable notice of anything affecting the space.
9. Access & Handover
Access is on the terms stated in the Listing (for example, by appointment or during stated hours). The parties coordinate drop-off and pickup, including through in-app chat, and should document the condition and, where relevant, the quantity of goods at drop-off and pickup. The Renter is responsible for securing the space's lock or the goods where the Listing provides for the Renter's own lock.
10. Declared Value & Liability Cap
Because the Host does not take custody of the goods and Parada facilitates no goods-in-storage insurance by default, the parties agree to a limit on any claim against the Host for loss of or damage to the stored goods. Unless a higher value is declared and expressly accepted by the Host in writing (in the app), the Host's maximum liability for the goods is limited to the lower of the actual proven value of the affected goods or Twenty Thousand Pesos (₱20,000.00) per booking, and applies only where loss or damage is caused by the Host's own negligence or willful misconduct. High-value items must not be stored (Section 6). This cap does not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or where it cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Insurance & Risk
The Renter bears the risk of loss of or damage to the stored goods and is responsible for insuring them if the Renter wishes to be covered. Parada does not insure, and does not warrant that the Host insures, the stored goods. Any protection stated in a Listing is between the Renter and the Host on the Listing's terms.
12. Cancellations & Refunds
The full rules are in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. For a Renter who cancels a paid booking before the start date, the refund of the Storage Fee is tiered; the Service Fee is never refunded.

- Unpaid bookings may be cancelled free of charge.
- Host cancellation of a confirmed, paid booking is a service failure: the Renter is entitled to a refund of the amount paid and the Host may face platform-level remedies.
- Refunds are reviewed and processed by the Parada team to the original payment method, typically within 3–10 business days; they are not automatic. Statutory rights under RA 7394 are unaffected.
13. Unpaid Fees, Lien & Abandonment
If the term ends and the Renter has not removed the goods, or the Renter fails to pay amounts due, the following applies:
- Grace & notice. The Host, through Parada, will give the Renter written notice (by email and in-app) and a reasonable grace period of at least thirty (30) days to pay any arrears and remove the goods.
- Retention right (lien). Pending payment of amounts lawfully due, the Host may retain the goods to the extent allowed under the Civil Code.
- Deemed abandonment & disposal. If, after the grace period and a final notice, the Renter still fails to pay and remove the goods, the goods are deemed abandoned. The Host may then dispose of them lawfully — by sale, donation, or disposal — applying any sale proceeds first to unpaid fees and reasonable costs, and holding any surplus for the Renter, subject to applicable law. Perishable, hazardous, or unlawful items may be removed or disposed of sooner as safety or law requires.
The parties may escalate any dispute over arrears or disposal to Parada mediation (Section 21) before disposal where practicable.
14. Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including typhoons, floods, earthquakes, fire, government orders, civil unrest, strikes, or power outages. Where a Force Majeure Event prevents use of the space, the Renter is entitled to a pro-rata refund of the unused Storage Fee through Parada's standard process, and neither party may claim further damages.
15. Indemnification
Each party shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the other (and, where applicable, Parada) from third-party claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from that party's breach, negligence, or willful misconduct — including, for the Renter, any claim arising from prohibited or unlawful goods.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, each party's aggregate liability for a booking is limited as stated in Section 10 (for the Host, as to the goods) and otherwise to the fees paid for that booking; neither party is liable for indirect, consequential, special, incidental, or punitive damages. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under Philippine law, including RA 7394 consumer rights.
17. Parada as Marketplace
Parada operates a technology platform connecting Hosts and Renters. Parada is not a party to this Agreement, does not own, control, or manage any storage space, and does not store, guard, inspect, or insure any goods. Parada's role is limited to listing the space, facilitating booking, payment, and Host payouts, and providing verification, support, and dispute facilitation. Consistent with the Internet Transactions Act, Parada verifies Hosts to a reasonable degree, acts on valid takedown or complaint requests, and provides an internal redress mechanism.
18. Data Privacy
Parada's processing of personal information in connection with this Agreement is governed by Republic Act No. 10173 and Parada's Privacy Policy. Each party consents to the limited disclosure of contact and booking details to the other for purposes of fulfilling this Agreement.
19. Electronic Acceptance
This Agreement is entered into electronically. In accordance with Republic Act No. 8792, electronic acceptance — including completing or approving a booking — has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature, and electronic records are admissible under the Rules on Electronic Evidence (A.M. No. 01-7-01-SC).
20. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
21. Dispute Resolution & Venue
- Direct discussion via Parada messaging or email, in good faith.
- Parada-facilitated mediation. If unresolved within seven (7) calendar days, either party may request mediation at [email protected].
- Small Claims. Within the threshold under A.M. No. 08-8-7-SC, either party may file a small-claims case in the appropriate first-level court.
- Regular Courts. Otherwise, disputes may be brought before the competent courts of the Philippines, without limiting a consumer's recourse to the DTI. Venue lies in the court of competent jurisdiction where the storage space is located, without prejudice to the rules on small-claims and consumer venue.
22. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision is held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force, and the invalid provision is interpreted or replaced to achieve the original intent to the maximum extent permitted by law.
This Agreement, together with the Parada Terms and Conditions, Refund & Cancellation Policy, Privacy Policy, and the booking confirmation, constitutes the entire agreement between the Host and the Renter for the booking.
